About Us
Point Cook Physical
Our Mission
Helping you to move and feel better.
Our mission is to resolve your presenting complaint better than expected, to provide a specific diagnosis by identifying and treating the root cause. We want to do this so well that we become recognised as the best provider of musculoskeletal medicine in the western suburbs of Melbourne. We continually participate in professional development and education and work to create a positive working environment that benefits our team and patients.
“Our clinic offers a multi-faceted approach to your health, to ensure you get the treatment you need and not just the treatment you think you want.”
Director
Escape to the clinic
Where qualified medical care converges with the feeling you're escaping to be healed.
We do things differently at Point Cook Physical. We’re changing how a medical clinic can feel, how it smells, how it looks. Don’t get us wrong, we’re still ensuring we keep things clean and sterile – but they don’t feel and smell sterile. Getting your health on track should be a good feeling. It should be a treat. We want you to feel relaxed and welcome, and then we want to help you experience moving and feeling better. We want you to feel like coming to our clinic is a welcome escape, a place you come to heal.
Point Cook Physical
Meet the Team
Dr Steve Resic
Osteopath
Steve Resic’s passion for health began after a series of sports injuries in his teen years. This led him to seek multiple physical therapists for a resolution to ongoing hamstring strains, ankle sprains and hip pain. After overcoming these injuries, it led to a career in helping people overcome their own injuries through the principles and techniques of Osteopathy.
Steve is an Osteopath who loves solving problems with a special interest in sports and injury rehabilitation. He believes everyone should be able to live and move pain free. When Steve isn’t working, you can find him at the gym, the beach, or your local skate park skateboarding.

He treats various foot-related concerns and injuries, working with patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly.

He is trained and qualified in using pro-lo therapy, a series of needles that can assist in the healing process. Taylor frequently uses this type of therapy for bursitis issues, especially in the toe knuckle and ligament and plantar fascia tears.
Taylor is exceptionally skilled in treating ingrown toenails. He treats partial and whole ingrown toenails and has experience using various treatment techniques to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
In his time away from the clinic, Taylor is busy with a young, active family. He enjoys all sports, particularly AFL, where he assists in coaching his son’s team and also playing when he can.
Ms Emma O’Boyle
Remedial Massage Therapist
With a degree in Health Science and a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy, Emma is a highly skilled Massage Therapist. She has been with the Point Cook Physical team for over three years and works closely with our other practitioners to provide exceptional results for our patients.
Emma applies different techniques depending on her patient’s needs. She is certified in dry needling and often uses this technique to ease neck and shoulder tension or TMJ pain. Fascia tension – which feels like deep, aching pain or a muscle knot, can be relieved with her cupping therapy.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM) is another technique in which Emma is certified. This massage-based therapy can be beneficial for breaking down scar tissue. Lymphatic draining can also prevent scarring, but Emma mainly uses this technique for patients with oedema or swelling.
Clients of all ages see Emma for massage. From teenagers to the elderly, everyone can benefit from massage therapy, and Emma will spend time getting to know you and what you require. Postural tension and pain, headache, jaw pain, sports massage and more, Emma is skilled in identifying the particular source of the pain and providing therapy that can provide immediate relief.
Emma shares her time between Point Cook Physical and the Richmond Tigers AFL Club. At the Tigers club, she is an integral member of the massage therapy team, working with the players during training sessions or on game day to help them be in peak physical form.
With a cheerful personality, and a dedication to her clients, Emma always puts in 100% to anything she does. She has obtained a black belt in taekwondo and is pursuing her master’s degree, with her adorable cavalier pup, Teddy, by her side.
