About Us
Point Cook Physical
Our Mission
Helping you to move and feel better.
Our mission is to resolve your presenting complaint better than expected, to provide a specific diagnosis by identifying and treating the root cause. We want to do this so well that we become recognised as the best provider of musculoskeletal medicine in the western suburbs of Melbourne. We continually participate in professional development and education and work to create a positive working environment that benefits our team and patients.
“We’re building a practice that offers a multi-faceted approach to your health, to ensure you get the treatment you need and not just the treatment you think you want.”

Escape to the clinic
Where qualified medical care converges with the feeling you're escaping to be healed.
We do things differently at Point Cook Physical. We’re changing how a medical clinic can feel, how it smells, how it looks. Don’t get us wrong, we’re still ensuring we keep things clean and sterile – but they don’t feel and smell sterile. Getting your health on track should be a good feeling. It should be a treat. We want you to feel relaxed and welcome, and then we want to help you experience moving and feeling better. We want you to feel like coming to our clinic is a welcome escape, a place you come to heal.

Meet the Team
RIP
Chief Furry Officer
Our beautiful clinic dog, Zip, sadly left this earth in late 2021.
He was often at the clinic, ready to greet you at the door and hoping for a gentle pat. In the afternoons he would find the sunniest spot and enjoy his afternoon nap, never bothered by the hustle and bustle of a busy environment.
Zip loved the beach and in particular, loved chasing after birds and cats, or hanging out with other dogs. We have many wonderful memories of Zip and he is sadly missed by all that were fortunate to have known him.
Mr Milos Stojanovic

He aspires to be a leader in providing the best evidence-based healthcare alongside sports-based treatment.
Milos was born in Europe and is fluent in Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Macedonian. In his down time he values spending time with family, playing a variety of different sports and the occasional weekend BBQ with friends.
Marita Mercer
Psychologist
With over 20 years of experience, Marita is passionate about helping others to cope with complex and challenging issues, and achieve lasting change. She has worked in a variety of areas, such as in community health, schools, not for profit agencies, and private practice. With her warm and friendly presence, as well as her wealth of experience, Marita tailors her therapeutic approach to her client’s individual needs, employing a variety of evidence-based therapy treatments.
In her time away from work, Marita enjoys spending time in her garden, and relaxes with a strong coffee, and a movie.
Ms Emma O’Boyle
Remedial Massage Therapist
Born and bred in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Emma knew early on that she wanted to work in massage based therapy care. Wanting always to learn more, Emma decided on further study once her massage studies were complete. Now with a degree in exercise science, Emma provides comprehensive patient care when it comes to hands-on therapy and exercise prescription. Her treatment sessions are tailored, with an emphasis on achieving the goals of each patient.
Emma has been a highly competitive swimmer and also holds a black belt in taekwondo. As an athlete at this level, together with her experience as a practitioner, Emma has a thorough understanding of movement and body function for performance and injury and pain management.
As her work involves 100% focus and dedication, her time away from the massage table mainly involves relaxation-type activities. She regularly travels to visit them with family in England but always enjoys coming back home to the sunshine and warmer weather.
Mr Taylor Cobby
Podiatrist
Taylor lives by a philosophy of helping others, and he will always make an effort to get to know his patients as individuals. As a dedicated father, his young son inspires him always to be his best self.
Having grown up in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, Taylor keenly follows AFL, but also EPL soccer. He is drawn to all sports and plays football regularly himself.
Taylor is a friendly and outgoing practitioner, and when time permits, will often be socialising with family or friends. He is a keen ‘foodie’ and enjoys discovering new restaurants and cafes.
Dr Rachel Marlais
Osteopath
Rachel has been part of the Point Cook Physical team for over three years and has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience over this time.
Her career path began with an opportunity to complete work experience with an Osteopath. She fell in love with the profession and has never looked back, always staying focused on helping people within the health industry.
Rachel grew up on a vineyard in the country town of Mildura. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time by the beach and loves a great crime series on Netflix. She has spent many years playing netball and enjoys group fitness training.
Rachel also loves to travel and recently spent time in Asia, where she fell in love with the Vietnamese culture and food!
Dr Georgia Smith
Osteopath
Georgia’s childhood was one filled with sport and outdoor activities. Her interest in the body and movement and her passion for helping others led her to Osteopathy.
She is a dedicated practitioner, working hard to impact her patient’s physical and mental wellbeing, which she believes is interconnected.
She is a strong advocate for women’s sport and has played and coached soccer. She recently found a new passion for playing football, which her Bulldogs supporting family are delighted with. In her time away from work, she is a self-confessed True Crime fanatic. On weekends, she is often found enjoying her guilty pleasure, cheese and wine, with her friends.
Dr Damien De Caneva
Osteopath
Damien De Caneva thrives on the variety that each patient has to offer. He treats all types of conditions – from heel pain to headaches – with a particular interest in helping correct chronic injuries. He believes the essence of preventing recurring injuries is to prescribe practical, sustainable activities. He has worked in Point Cook for over seven years and is a well-respected member of the community.
Damien graduated from Victoria University in 2004. He has worked in sporting clubs such as the Adelaide Crows, as a researcher in Charing Cross Hospital, London, has taught in China, and consulted in private practices in both the city and country Australia-wide.
Damien has worked as a supervising clinician for Osteopathic students at Victoria University and served as a PR representative for the Victorian state council of the Australian Osteopathic Association.
He has recently completed a year-long course in functional movement at the Gray Institute in Michigan, U.S.A. He is currently focused on providing an optimum patient experience, which he feels is lacking in a typical physical therapy consultation.
Dr Anna Kelly
Acupuncturist
An early experience with Acupuncture after an injury sparked Anna’s interest to pursue this as her career. She fell in love with the alternative nature of treatment and the principles of Chinese Medicine.
She has been fortunate to have studied and worked in China, and this is where she saw first-hand just how dynamic Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture can be. Having worked in the industry for over 12 years, Anna’s passion for helping her patients is stronger than ever.
She works hard to provide the best, tailored treatments. She thrives on the variety and challenges that she’s presented with. Anna grew up in the country and married her childhood sweetheart. Outside of work, family is her main focus. A trip to the beach with her two children is her ideal day off.
Dr Luke Reid
Osteopath
Luke’s start to the day must always include a good strong coffee. Not that he needs the caffeine fix, as he is always full of energy, ready to focus on his patient’s individual goals. He has a strong desire to help others and is dedicated to improving lives through his holistic view of injury and treatment.
With a strong interest in physique, bodybuilding and nutrition, he regularly trains and tests his physical ability on the bodybuilding stage. When not at work or training at the gym, Luke enjoys reading books about running and also catching up on the latest Game of Thrones episode.
