Meet Anna
Physiotherapist
Anna Lawley is a highly skilled physiotherapist who completed her Physiotherapy degree in Melbourne and is originally from Queensland. She has extensive experience treating patients across all age groups, from children to older adults.
Anna has a strong clinical interest in acute sporting and soft-tissue injuries, with a particular focus on injuries such as hamstring and quadriceps strains or tears, acute ankle injuries, knee injuries, and other sport-related musculoskeletal conditions. She enjoys working with patients from the early stages of injury through to full return to sport and function.
She also has experience managing pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation, supporting patients through recovery following orthopaedic surgery and helping them safely regain strength, mobility, and confidence.
Anna’s treatment approach combines hands-on manual therapy, targeted strengthening and rehabilitation programs, and clear patient education. She utilises techniques such as soft tissue therapy, joint mobilisation, massage, and cupping to reduce pain, restore movement, and optimise performance.
Anna is passionate about Sports Physiotherapy and has worked with athletes across a wide range of sports, including AFL, netball, tennis, soccer, and cricket. She has previously worked with the Brisbane Lions AFLW team and is currently the Sports Physiotherapist for the Williamstown VFL and Darley BFNL Clubs.
As a former state-level netball player, Anna brings firsthand understanding of high-performance sport and the demands placed on the body. This experience allows her to deliver practical, sport-specific rehabilitation and injury prevention strategies tailored to each athlete’s goals.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys gym training and running. She also loves spending time with her Border Collie, Alfie, and has a strong interest in travel and Japanese culture following a recent trip to Japan.
