Meet Patty

Psychologist

Patty Navarro is a registered Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of experience providing clinical assessments, counselling, and psychological treatment to adults.

Patty is known for her flexible, collaborative, and client-centred approach. She tailors therapy to suit each client’s unique presentation, personality, and preferences.

Her therapeutic work is grounded in a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Interventions, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Psychoeducation, and Schema Therapy.

Over the past year, Patty has undertaken advanced trauma training in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) — a neurobiologically informed treatment developed by psychiatrist Dr. Frank Corrigan. She has completed both Level 1 and Level 2 training and has found DBR to be a transformative approach to trauma recovery. Patty has applied this modality extensively in her work and describes it as a game changer for treating deep-rooted trauma. (Please note that DBR sessions cannot be covered by Medicare).

Most recently, she completed a three-day advanced workshop on Alexander Technique Interweaves, developed by Martin Warner, which complements DBR and further enriches her trauma-informed practice.

Patty is available for both face-to-face therapy sessions and telehealth.
